For my second post of the day I have a Get Well Soon card for the CraftyCatz Challenge #59.
The flowers were cut from red, pink and yellow card with a Cricut having set up the design sheets for the various flower shapes on my Gypsy. They were then stamped randomly with a Judikins pattern stamp with black Stazon. The flowers were then coloured with distress inks and a blending tool to age them a bit. Each flower was then constructed by layering up 3 different layers using Pinflair glue gel.
Although it is difficult to tell from this photo, the flowers are stood in a vase which was made from a rectangle of pink card with some acetate wrapped round it. Ribbons were tied around it to make a bow.
The base card is A5 in size and made from pale pink pearlescent card. Immediately behind the vase of flowers is a woven panel of cream and pink patterned card. Once woven, this was matted onto a darker pink card - the same colour that was used for the vase. This assembly was then bonded to the base card with Pinflair glue. The flower heads were arranged and bonded in place with the same glue.
Another panel of the darker pink card was cut and the Get Well Soon Letters, which were taken from a pre-printed sheet, were added. This was mounted on the base card to complete it.
Hi Shirl, wow this is fabulous and I bet it took some time to create with all those cut out. With love and hugs Shirleyxxxx
